Buying & Selling Websites and Domains
Websites and domains, handled through EstablishedDomains.co. How sites are valued on revenue, organic traffic, backlink quality and domain age.
Yes, we handle websites and domains, through our sister operation, EstablishedDomains.co. Here is what qualifies and how websites are valued differently from social accounts.
Do you buy websites?
We handle those through EstablishedDomains.co. If you think your site is worth selling, send it over. The assessment is free either way.
What makes a website sellable?
Websites are valued on fundamentals rather than audience size, which makes them more predictable than social properties:
- Revenue and profit, with twelve months of statements. This is the basis of the multiple.
- Organic search traffic and where it comes from. Traffic concentrated in one vulnerable keyword is worth less than the same traffic spread across many.
- Traffic trend. A buyer extrapolates the line; direction matters more than the current figure.
- Backlink profile. Clean, earned links add value. Paid or spammy link profiles are a liability a buyer inherits.
- Age and domain quality. A short, clean, aged domain has value independent of the site on it.
- How much work it needs. A site that runs itself sells for more than one requiring daily attention.
Domains without a site
Yes. A strong domain is an asset on its own. Short, dictionary-word, brandable and category-exact names all have a market.
What else counts as a virtual asset?
We will consider any property with a large enough following or user base: established blogs, online communities, forums, Discord and Telegram groups, email lists, app user bases and TikTok accounts. If you are not sure whether yours counts, ask, see other virtual assets.
How is a website transferred safely?
The price is agreed in writing, then domain, hosting, content, analytics and any connected accounts transfer under supervision. The buyer gets an inspection window; the seller is paid the same day it completes.
